Gateway Arch - story about some structural maintenance that might be needed. Definitely the coolest monument in America, by a long shot. It isn't some weird Egyptian obelisk or some carving on a mountain or a greek revival piece of idealized whitewashed Washington D.C. monstrosity. It's modern, and it's uniquely American while still paying homage to the "arch" as an architectural form. It's stainless steel! Anyway, I love the arch, and I hope it is taken care of forever. » 08/22/2010
